pYC mini is CAREL’s tailor-made programmable controller that provides all the power and flexibility of the STone development environment in a compact solution.

pYC mini was created to respond to the growing demand for solutions that can adapt to increasingly specific contexts and applications. Controllers thus require greater variability and scalability. In this scenario, programmability is a fundamental feature, allowing advanced electronic systems to respond perfectly to the needs of each specific application. Intelligent and easily configurable solutions can guarantee high performance, reducing implementation times and increasing operational versatility.

Based on both the latest standards and market trends, growing attention to environmental issues is leading to the use of natural refrigerants with a low GWP, yet these are often highly flammable and classified A3. CAREL in this regard has left no room for improvisation or compromise, and with the new pYC mini intends to complement a proposal where the focus is on efficiency, safety, and reliability. 
pYC mini has been tested in accordance with the latest regulations for HVAC/R applications (F-GAS, EPBD, ECODESIGN), and has been found to be compliant with the requirements of the regulations on type A3 or A2L flammable refrigerants.

In addition, the serial communication feature, available as standard on this family of controllers, can be used to manage the main actuators (electronic expansion valve, EC fans, compressor inverters, etc.), thus further optimising unit control and efficiency.

The range also includes wireless connectivity as standard, with an NFC and optional Bluetooth interface to interact with mobile devices via APPLICA and CONTROLLA apps (also available in the desktop version). This makes it easier to configure the parameters and commission the units in the field.
